Back issues of Biblionews still available

The following back issues of Biblionews, listed here in reverse chronological order, are still available, partly as a result of the late Eric Russel’s set being passed on to the Editor. In some cases there are multiple copies, in others only one. They are given below with month(s) and year followed by the issue number(s) (though some early issues did not carry running issue numbers, so are given here with Vol. and No.).

Members or readers wishing to obtain copies of any of these back issues should email the Editor, Brian Taylor, at brian.taylor@arts.usyd.edu.au or write to him c/-

giving the month/year and number of the issue(s) required. Issues for 2006 will cost $3 each, those from 2000 to 2005 at $2 each and those pre-2000 will be free, but in all cases there will be a charge for postage and handling. Once a request has been received, the Editor will email or write back informing the requester of availability and the total cost and, if the latter wishes to go ahead, the issues will be despatched with an invoice asking for payment by cheque in Australian dollars or by Australian Money Order to the Secretary/Treasurer.

NB: Copies of Deirdre Moore’s Survivors of BEAUTY: Memoirs of Dora and Bert Birtles (BCSA, 1996 – Studies in Australian Bibliophily,No. 3) and John Fletcher’s 1982 Index 1947-1979, to Numbers 1-245 of Biblionews can also be ordered at $5 each plus postage.

As from 2007, copies of issues of Biblionews to non-members and additional copies to members will cost $5 (five dollars) each for those with only black and white illustrations. Because of the high cost of colour printing, the cost of copies of issues with colour illustrations will need to be negotiated with the Editor, as the cost per copy will fluctuate according to the overall cost of the issue. (Contributors of substantial items to an issue will continue to receive three copies of that issue for free.)
